THOROLD: Threat call to Pope Francis Centre determined to be false

On Wednesday, Nov. 6 at approximately 1:35 p.m, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended Pope Francis Centre located at 25 Whyte Ave. N in the City of Thorold for a possible threat made to the school.  

Out of an abundance of caution the school was placed on a hold and secure.  

Further investigation revealed the threat to be invalid.  

The hold and secure was lifted and all students were able to leave the school safely.
