Six suspects sought in Grimsby robbery

The robbery happened at a Grimsby jewwelry store while it was open though no injuries were reported

On Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) uniform officers in 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) responded to Harmony Jewellers located at 37 Main Street West in the Town of Grimsby for a robbery that had just occurred.

Initial investigation determined that six suspects attended the front entrance of Harmony Jewellers. The suspects smashed the front entrance door with small sledgehammers and gained entry to the store. The suspects then used the small sledgehammers to smash several display cases. The suspects then proceeded to remove jewellery from the cases. The suspects then exited the store and fled in a vehicle toward Mountain Street.

The store was open at the time of the robbery, however, there were no reported injuries. The suspects are described as follows:

  • ­Black hooded sweatshirt
  • Black pants
  • White surgical mask
  • Orange and black gloves
  • White shoes

Suspect No. 2

  • Black hooded jacket
  • Black pants
  • Black surgical mask
  • Blue latex styled gloves
  • Black shoes

Suspect No. 3

  • Black hooded jacket/sweatshirt
  • Black pants
  • White surgical mask
  • Blue latex styled gloves
  • Black shoes

Suspect No. 4

  • Black hooded jacket
  • Black pants
  • Black surgical mask
  • Blue latex style gloves
  • Black shoes

Suspect No. 5

  • Black hooded sweater
  • Black pants
  • Black mask
  • Light coloured gloves
  • White shoes

Suspect No. 6

  • Black hooded jacket
  • Black pants
  • Black mask
  • Light coloured gloves

The investigation has been assigned to the 8 District Criminal Investigation Branch. Detectives are asking any witnesses, or anyone with video footage to contact them at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, ext 1009341.
