Finally at peace, we sadly announce the passing of Caroline McDonald, on Friday September 20th, 2024, in her 61st year. Carol was the daughter of Jeanette and the late Robert McDonald (2023). She was a proud and amazing mom to Anthony and Jacob (1992), loving and BEST sister to Debbie (Todd) O'Shaughnessy, Jill McDonald, and Robert (Susan) McDonald, and the most nurturing aunt to Brittany (Brandon), Lauren (John), Kodee, Moy, Teree, Teagen and Callum. She will be so greatly missed by a little girl who showed her endless love, always wanting to visit; her great niece Vaira and great nephew Jensen.

Carol is now re-united with her best friend- her dad, her baby boy Jacob, and all of her family in Scotland who also call heaven their home. She will be missed by all of her friends and family in both Canada and Scotland.

Anyone who knew Carol, knew that despite the hardships thrown her way, Carol always chose to love her life. She filled it with loving and doting on her son Anthony, scratch tickets, celebrity gossip magazines, sweets, walks to Port Dalhousie, and spending time with her family. Heaven has gained a beautiful, strong angel.

A special thank-you to an angel on earth, Laura, for her multiple weekly visits which Carol loved and always looked forward to. To her best pal Megan for taking the time to know Carol and filling her life with lots of treats, laughter, gossip, and most of all, LOVE.  To Lynn who always showered her with lots of goodies and made her feel so special. Above all, the whole family would like to thank Carol's little sister Debbie, who spent EVERY single day for the past 13 years advocating, prioritizing, and visiting Carol. Carol's life was undeniably brighter and fuller by having Debbie unwaveringly by her side every step of the way, through thick and thin.

" You will never walk alone"

Biggest thank you to Linhaven staff who showed her love, respect, and compassion to Carol, especially at the end of life.

In honouring Caroline’s wishes, the family will have a private burial at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
