Robert (Bob) Passed with his boys by his side during the late evening hours of Sunday September 15th, 2024 - minutes after the final whistle of the Sunday Night football game - of course. He spent his final Sunday the way he loved spending all Sundays - with NFL football, surrounded by the love and laughter of friends, family and his 3 boys. Bob is now reunited with his love and wife of 38 years - Marsha who he missed so much.

Survived by his sons Nicholas (Megan), Gregory (Stephanie), Cameron (Marissa), he was the son of Mary and Petrov Hawrylenko. Dear brother of Peter, Leon, Helen, Bill, Katie and Grandpa to four beautiful grandchildren that lit his life with pride (Viviana, Holden, Benjamin and Hayden).

In 2022, he retired after 47 years at Canadian National Railroad. In the Spring of 2023, Bob was recognized for maintaining an impeccable safety record over his career - 47 years accident free - something that made him and his family so proud. Amongst those closest to him, Bob will best be remembered for his resilience, patience, and beautiful smile.

He cherished taking football trips with the boys, going on the annual golf trip with family and friends and tinkering in the garage with the dogs and his best friend Pat.

Bob was a private man who always put his children and family first. His selflessness and loyalty will forever live on in all of our hearts while memories of his perfect mashed potatoes live on in our bellies.  He remains a hero to his 3 boys who stayed faithfully by his side during his last months.

Bob was a relatively quiet man of few words - except of course on Sunday afternoons when cheering for his beloved Buffalo Bills - AYY AYY, AYY AYY! LET'S GO BUFFALO!

Special thanks to the amazing care teams at Niagara General Hospital, Douglas Memorial Hospital and the incredible Dr. Scher.

In honouring Bob’s wishes, a private gathering is being held at a later date.  Memorial donations to the Fort Erie SPCA, would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
