Peacefully passed away on January 1st, 2025. Born on January 20th, 1936, in Rivignano, Italy, Angelina was the youngest of ten children. She met her beloved husband, Rodolfo Gigone, in Italy before they embarked together on a journey to build a new life in Canada. Together with Rodolfo, who worked in construction, Angelina built a beautiful life, working in the service industry while raising their two sons, Franco and Giancarlo. Known affectionately as "Nonna" to her family, Angelina was renowned for her cooking, especially her incredible gnocchi, and her ability to bring the family together around her welcoming table.
A woman of remarkable energy and determination, Angelina's vitality was legendary - even in her later years, she could be found rearranging her house on a weekly basis, undaunted by carrying furniture up and down stairs. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, from trying her luck at bingo and scratch cards to lighting up at the sight of a cat, and was famous for her perfectly sweet espresso, which always included her signature four heaping scoops of sugar.
Angelina's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her sons Franco and Giancarlo (Joy), her beloved grandchildren Brittania (Patrick), Justin (Bri), Nicholas (Kaytlyn), Ben (Tess), and Emily (Aidan), and her cherished great-grandchildren Madalynn, June, James, and Marley
