Passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the age of 89.
Beloved husband of 69 years to Patricia. Loving father of Carol Coppenbarger (Mark) and Cindy Kluzak.
Survived by his grandchildren Carrie Vaughan (Trevor), Cody Kluzak (Phoebe) and great grandfather of Kate. Also missed by several nieces, nephews and his dear friend Chase. Predeceased by parents Clifford and Myrtle Dilts, his infant son and granddaughter, his sisters Rhea (Don) and Millie (Don).
Jake was a long time member of the Fonthill Legion Branch #613, a member of the Fonthill Lions Club and Board Member of the Town of Pelham Non-Profit Housing Corporation.
Friends and family will be received at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Tuesday, October 29th from 6 - 8 pm. A Lion's walk through will take place at 6 pm followed by a Legion walk through at 6:30 pm. The memorial service to honour Jake's life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 30th beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Lion Dog Guides or to the Legion Poppy Fund.
