Looking for something to do over March Break? Parks Canada and the Friends of Fort George are hosting two special March Break Programs.
On Wednesday, March 15, a parent or guardian and a favourite stuffy can enjoy a spot of tea and history.
Beginning at 1 p.m. at Navy Hall in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the event includes a short presentation on tea in the Regency era, as well as period activities to try.
Tickets include a cup of tea or juice, and some tasty treats put together from the Fort George Bill of Fare Cookbook.

On Thursday, March 16, from 1 to 3 p..m., kids can learn about the history of Wampum, also at Navy Hall.
Kids can enjoy an afternoon of story telling and learning, cozying up by the fire and joining renowned author Zig Misiak as he presents his delightful children's book Wampum: The Story of Shaylyn the Clam. Throughout the presentation, kids will learn about the significance of the Wampum belt and the esteem that Indigenous Peoples have for Mother Earth.
There will be a 'show and tell' of various artifacts as they relate to the story of creation, the Clans and how they were formed, the coming of the Peacemaker, the beginning of the use of wampum for belts, and more.
