Current details:
Lake effect snow squalls possible this afternoon into Sunday.

Hazards:
Local snowfall accumulations possibly exceeding 15 cm. At this time, these potential amounts are expected to remain confined to the Fort Erie area.
Very poor to zero visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow.

Timing:
This afternoon to Sunday evening.

Discussion:
Snow squalls may lift northward toward the Fort Erie area this afternoon before shifting south again on Sunday afternoon or evening. There remains a possibility that this snow squall will remain over Lake Erie.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
