LETTER: Lemonade for Kids Camp

Canada Day effort raises $88

PelhamToday received the following letter to the editor regarding a local charity effort:

I just wanted to reach out to let you know about a little act of kindness by two young people in our community on Monday July 1, 2024.

On Haist St. in Fonthill, two young boys named Charlie Gottschalk and Oliver Burns prepared a lemonade stand with aspirations to give any donations collected to charity. The charity they chose to donate to was Tim Horton’s Kids Camp. Together the boys collected $88.25. The money was donated at the Tim Hortons location at the corner of Haist St. and Hwy 20 and given to manager Robin.

Thank you for letting me share about this kind act. Included are three pictures, one of Charlie and Oliver handing out lemonade, one of their sign and one picture of Oliver donating the donations collected  the Tim Hortons.
