PelhamToday received the following letter to the editor in response to yesterday's letter regarding Niagara Region's new flag policy:

Dear Paul Folkes: You are mostly correct about flying flags at Niagara Region headquarters, except for the part about democracy! I believe the Regional Chair is appointed and not elected, so democracy does not prevail in Niagara, or has it ever been since its inception?
