Victim suffers serious injuries in St. Catharines shooting

On Jan. 9, 2025, at 12:11pm our 1 District (St. Catharines/ Thorold) uniform officers responded to Princess Ann Circle in St. Catharines for a possible shooting. Officers arrived on scene and found a victim suffering from serious injuries. The victim was treated by Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics and transported to an out of region hospital.

Officers then attended a home on Princess Ann Circle which was determined to be the scene. Officers from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit and K9 Unit conducted a track in the area but were not able to find a suspect. No suspect has been arrested.

1 District detectives have been assigned to the investigation. Detectives are developing a suspect description. Detectives from NRPS Forensic Services Unit are assisting in the investigation.  The investigation is in its early stages. We will release further details at a later time.
