Trio facing charges, two for drug trafficking in Port Colborne

The arrests come after a search warrant executed last Wednesday

Suspected drugs, cash, and a firearm were seized as part of an investigation in Port Colborne.

During the month of June 2024 detectives from the 3 District (Welland/Pelham) Street Crime Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service began an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in the City of Port Colborne.

As a result of the investigation a suspect residence was identified. On June 26, 2024, detectives executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at an address on Steele Street. Detectives arrested three people found in the residence.

As a result of the search warrant detectives seized:

  • 229.7 grams of fentanyl with an estimated street value of $45,000
  • 18.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $1820
  • 32 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $3200
  • $1,035 in currency
  • A shotgun with live ammunition unsafely stored and serial numbers removed.

 Angela Elizabeth Cirillo (54 yrs.) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the criminal offences of:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Methamphetamine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under 5000
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number has been Tampered With
  • Possession a Firearm Without a Licence

 Jeffrey Patrick Ring (45 yrs.) of Port Colborne has been arrested and charged with the criminal offences of:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Methamphetamine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number has been Tampered With
  • Possession a Firearm Without a Licence
  • Possess Weapon Contrary to Court Imposed Prohibition
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Cirillo and Ring were held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on June 27, 2024

Meghan Sarah Smith (34 yrs.) of Port Colborne has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Possession of controlled Substance – Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance - Crystal Methamphetamine   

Smith was later released by way of a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date.
