Suspect sought after man in car assaulted and robbed

Niagara Regional Police say the victim didn't know the suspect and the incident was unprovoked

On Saturday, July 8, 2024, at approximately 8:00pm, 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the parking lot at Value Village located at 6278 Lundy’s Lane in the City of Niagara Falls in response to a robbery call.

Investigation revealed that an adult male victim was in his car when an unknown male suspect assaulted him and stole his wallet. 

The suspect and the victim are unknown to each other and the incident was unprovoked. The victim sustained non life threatening injuries.  

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect. 

He is described as:

  • Male
  • White
  • 6’0”
  • 185 lbs
  • Short brown hair

Clothing description:

  • Short sleeved green plaid shirt, light-coloured shoes and green shorts with two vertical black stripes on leg
  • Was playing a harmonica prior to the incident

The suspect was observed entering the passenger side of a white 4 door car. This car was operated by a white female who is not believed to be an active participant in the incident.
