BEAMSVILLE – Police say an 18-year-old from Lincoln is dead after a collision on the Toronto-bound Queen Elizabeth Way in Beamsville early this morning.
Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Highway Safety Division with the Burlington Detachment's Niagara office investigated the fatality on the QEW at Ontario Street.
The OPP were called at about 2:50 a.m. to a collision between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian.
The teenager was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said in a news release.
The highway was closed for approximately seven hours for an investigation by the OPP.
