Police continue search for woman, 68, missing since late May

Galextra Kavanaugh who was last observed in the area of Bridge Street and Fourth Avenue in Niagara Falls

Niagara Regional Police say they continue their search for a woman reported missing nearly a month ago in Niagara Falls.

Police are now asking anyone who may be in the area to review their video footage or check their residential surroundings including back yards and sheds.

Police say Galextra Kavanaugh, 68, who was last observed on foot in the area of Bridge Street and Fourth Avenue travelling towards Stanley Avenue in Niagara Falls on Monday, May 27 at around 2:30 p.m.

Police said earlier that Kavanaugh also goes by the name of Selma Paul.

Kavanaugh is described as:

  • Black female
  • 5 ft. 6 in. tall
  • Brown eyes
  • Brown/grey hair

She was last seen wearing red hoodie, black pants, and black and white running shoes.

Police said if anything is observed or if anyone has information as to her whereabouts they are asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1007730.
