On Thursday Nov. 21, 2024, Niagara Regional Police responded to a sexual assault call for service at the Americana Resort located at 844 Lundy's Lane, Niagara Falls.
The investigation revealed that a male entered the women’s bathroom and sexually assaulted a female under the age of 16 in the City of Niagara Falls.
Police located the suspect nearby. Adam Carroll (38 years old) of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Sexual assault
- Sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age
Carroll was held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on November 22, 2024. The charges have not been tested in court.
The investigation remains ongoing by Child Abuse Unit detectives.
Detectives have reason to believe that there were additional witnesses in the area when the assault occurred and are asking anyone with information to contact them (905) 688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009468.
