Arrest made following string of break-ins in St. Catharines

33-year-old faces numerous charges related to multiple downtown business break-and-enter incidents

Throughout the month of February 2025, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to several break and enter related calls for service in the City of St. Catharines. The investigations involved incidents that occurred to business’ in the downtown core and surrounding area of St. Catharines.

Detectives assigned to 1 District Street Crime Unit (SCU) commenced an investigation and as a result a male suspect was identified. On Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, detectives arrested St. Catharines resident Raven Tempest (33 years old). Tempest has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Break Enter and Commit (four counts)
  • Break Enter and Attempt to Commit
  • Fail to Comply Probation (five counts)

Tempest was held in custody and is scheduled to attend the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025.
