1947 - 2024
Peacefully at home with his wife by his side, Randy Zavitz passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the age of 77.
Deeply loved husband of Fran Zavitz for 54 years. Loving and proud father of Ken (Helen), Grant ( Nicole) and Sherry (Dennis) Zavitz Harold. Cherished grandfather of Katie, Kevin, Scott, Brayden, Ava, Cameron, Makayla and Alyssa. Dear brother of Dan, Greg, Kirk and Penny and missed by many nieces and nephews. Randy is predeceased by his parents Keith and Roberta Zavitz.
Randy first started his own business with TV and electronic repair. He then became a technical consultant for Canadian Tire Acceptance. Randy was exceptionally handy and could design, build or repair just about anything. With pride he passed this knowledge on to his children and grandchildren.
Randy lived life to the fullest enjoying world travel and camping with Fran, fishing and hunting adventures, and many special times with family and friends. He was a loving and devoted family man who will be deeply missed.
Our sincere thanks and gratitude to the caring nurses Colleen, Jocelyne and Trina and his wonderful PSW Kimeshia who made it possible to keep Randy at home with his family.
In keeping with Randy's wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be planned for the future. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
