Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Royal Rose Place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the age of 91.
Dolores was predeceased by her first husband Paul Sherlock in 1982, by her second husband Ralph Young in 2006, by her son Daryl Sherlock in 2019 and by her step-daughter Maureen in 2024. She is survived by her son David Sherlock (Andrea), step-son Robert Young (Wendy) and step-daughter Cathy Niven (Doug). Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
A lifelong Niagara resident, Dolores was well-loved by friends and family from coast to coast in Canada, Delaware/Maryland and New Zealand. In the 1960s Dolores worked as a clerk for the St. Lawrence Seaway and at the Port Weller Dry Docks. She later spent many years volunteering at Sunset Haven in Welland and the Kirk On The Hill Presbyterian Church Ladies' Guild (Fonthill). She enjoyed many years with friends in a bowling league at Parkway Lanes in St. Catharines. Dolores was well travelled throughout North America and Europe. One of eleven children (8 girls, 3 boys) born to Walter and Anna Davison of Port Colborne, Dolores was the last surviving member of the family. Dolores always provided support and love for her many family members and friends, and she will be dearly missed.

Family and friends will be received at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Friday, February 28th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Saturday, March 1st from 9 - 10 am. The funeral service will follow beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Ridgeville.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Salvation Army of Ontario.
