SPECK, Marilyn Alida (nee Carl)

1934 - 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in her 89th year, at Niagara Long Term Care, in Niagara on the Lake. Beloved wife of 68 years to Kenneth "Bud" Speck.
Loving mother of Debbie Norton (Todd) and Jen Rice (Brian). Cherished grandmother of Krysten (Diego), Ana (Erin), Taylor, Sarah and great grandmother of Oscar.

Always kind and willing to laugh, both at herself and at Bud’s corny jokes, she was passionate about gardening, enjoyed travelling, and was a true animal lover. Marilyn was a long-time member of Pelham Evangelical Friends Church where she belonged to the Ladies Aid Society. She was also a proud member of the United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada – Niagara Branch. Along with raising her family, Marilyn worked for many years at the Niagara Credit Union in Welland. Marilyn will be forever missed and loved by her family.

The memorial service to honour Marilyn's life will take place at Pelham Evangelical Friends Church, 940 Haist Street, Fonthill on September 16th,
at 11:00 am.
