It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fredrick Garie Ross Putman on December 18, 2024 at the age of 74.
He will be lovingly missed by his daughter Sherry (Richard) de Leon and stepdaughter Cindy (Tom) Hanrath. Cherished grandfather of Riley, Hannah, Emma, Calvin, Colleen, Kayla and Sydney. He leaves behind his siblings Gilda (Peter) Spyker and Bonnie Neeleman. Predeceased by his parents Fredrick Sr. and Thelma (Horton) Putman, his siblings Merial White, Joyce DeWitt, Danny Putman and his brother-in-law Peter Neeleman.
Fred was always joking around, “giving people the gears” and found humour in everything. He had a good heart and would do anything for anyone. He loved tinkering with old cars and lawnmowers, rebuilding their engines-he could make anything run! Fred also had a green thumb and was always proud of what he grew. Family was everything to Fred and he was very proud and loved his daughter Sherry and his grandchildren and always talked about them to everyone! He will be missed by all.
A Rite of Committal will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 12pm at Willson Cemetery, 42347 Highway 3, Wainfleet. Donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lampman Funeral Home.
