1944 - 2024
Doug passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the age of 80. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth (Betty) (2017). Dear and loving father of Steven (Fay) and Dan (Kerry). Cherished Papa of Joshawa and Jessica. Great Papa of Alexa, Jack, Everleigh, and Shelby. Sadly missed by surviving brothers Ken and Keith, and his many friends.
Doug was born in Welland Ontario, retired from General Tire Automotive. Doug enjoyed and cherished every moment of life with family and friends. Doug was very social, he was a member of our local Niagara Falls legion, where Doug and his team recently won the Ontario euchre championship. Doug continued to meet new people, and spread joy, happiness and laughter.
In keeping with Doug's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced on a later date.
