It is with great sadness that we must report the passing of Euphemia Palkowski on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Greater Hamilton General Hospital surrounded by her closest family members. She was born in Zbuzu, Ukraine in November 1930 and she and her family emigrated to Canada in 1939. She is predeceased by her husband: Stanley Palkowski, by her parents Modest and Lena Denisko, her brothers: Nick, John, Mike and Andrew, as well as by her sister Anne. Euphemia is survived by her sisters Olga, Nancy and brother Bill, also her children: Richard (Nancy), Helen, and Larry. She also leaves behind grandchildren; Devon, Ryan and Sandra and great granddaughter Victoria. She was aunt to: Steven, Bill, Michael, Susan, Michael, Bryce, Ryan and Miranda. She also loved her devoted cat Maxwell. She was a kind and generous woman, who greatly loved her family and was loved in turn. Euphemia will be greatly missed. Visitation at Hulse & English Funeral Home, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines (905-684-6346) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Service in the funeral home Chapel on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston Street, St. Catharines.
