August 11, 1955 - January 12, 2025
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Jeffrey Charles Mayne at the age of 69 in St. Catharines. Predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Charles (1973) and his brother, Frank (2017). Jeff attended Sherwood Secondary School and graduated from Sir Wilfred Laurier Secondary School in Hamilton.
Jeff was a partner at W&L Truck Repair in Hamilton and subsequently President of SOS Truck Repair and Maintenance. He later became a dedicated volunteer at Southridge Community Church and then Resident Services Manager at Southridge Shelter St. Catharines.
Many knew Jeff before you met him. He had a distinctive look and style that was unmistakable in the city of St. Catharines. His eclectic hair style and "stache", wearing shorts and sandals, neon coloured jackets and his electric peddle bike 365 days a year, rain or snow, everyone recognized Jeff!
Jeff loved playing golf, basketball, baseball and cribbage and followed his Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, Colts and Raptors with unrivaled passion. He had a great sense of humour and will be sorely missed by his many friends in St Catharines and Hamilton.
Without family, he found his family at Puddy's Pub and Grill in St. Catharines. The "Family" at Puddy's are heartbroken over the passing of Jeff.
There will be three opportunities to gather in celebration of Jeff's life, to which all are welcome: Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Friday, January 31st, 2025 at Southridge Shelter, 201 Glenridge Avenue, St. Catharines. From 12-2 pm on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, at Puddy’s Bar & Grill, 38 Wright Street, St. Catharines and from 3-5 pm on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, at Rankin’s Bar and Grill, 1342 Main Street East, Hamilton.
He lived a life full of many variations and experiences. God bless and may you rest in peace dear friend.
