Lee, Margaret Patience (nee Barrett) 1925 - 2023

Passed away peacefully at Extended Care in Welland on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband William Arthur (1977). Loving mother of Robert (Brenda). Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Shawn) and Christoper (Venice). Great grandmother of Madisyn, Brooklynne and Easton. Dear sister of Allen (the late Josephine). Predeceased by her sister Ivy and brothers Lionel, Leonard, Wilfred, Reginald, Hector and Alexander. Margaret is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Buffalo New York to Ernest and Margaret Barrett she came to Canada at the age of 16 and married Art at the age of 18. Margaret was a long time member of the Pelham Evangelical Friends Church and past President of the Ladies Aid for 15 years. She believed in giving back to the community through volunteering at Open Arms Mission.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Interim Long Term Care Unit at the Welland Hospital for the care and compassion Margaret received while in their care.

Friends and family will be received at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Tuesday, April 25th from 10 - 11:00 am. The funeral will begin at 11:00 am followed by interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.

As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Open Arms Mission or the Salvation Army.
