It is with great sadness, that we announce the peaceful passing of Richard Hanson on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 71 years of age. Rick was the cherished son of Bernice (nee Miller) and the late Kenneth Hanson. He will be for ever missed by his loving mother, his devoted spouse, Sharon Gare, and his daughters, Kimberly Gauthier (Denis) and Jennifer Hanson (Joe). He was the dear brother of Allan Hanson and uncle of Hailey and Harmony. His step grandson, Travis, will miss him dearly. His grand-pups will miss their walks and scratchies.
Rick was known for his thoughtfulness and kind heartedness. He'd put a smile on everyone's face with his quick wit and humour. Rick always ensured everyone's needs and happiness were met, either through a kind word or listening ear. Rick was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He had a love for muscle cars and classic rock music. All who knew him will have a lifetime of happy memories to reflect on. He will always be remembered for the amazing man he was.
