With courage and strength at Niagara Health, St. Catharines Site on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 63 years of age. She joins her cherished husband, Carlo (June 22, 2023). Loving Mom of Carleen (Matt Cizmar) and Nathan Gicante. Proud Grammy of Belle and Liam. Beloved daughter of Elda (nee Vendromin) and the late Roy Buzdygan. Dear sister of Chris (Kim), sister-in-law of Corrie and her late husband, Carmen, Albino and his late wife, Lynda, Gino and Kathy and Dan and Rebecca. She was loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families.

She started off her career at Royal Insurance and then was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, baking and cooking Ukrainian and Italian family recipes. She was always passionate about the holidays, animals and nature. She cherished her brief time with her new puppy, Gidget. She joins her prior fur-babies, Raven and Spanky.

She was known for being a kind, strong-willed and determined person. She was a transplant recipient which allowed her to live many more years and she was forever grateful to her donors.

Thank you for the tremendous and compassionate care offered by the entire ICU/PCU staff at Niagara Health. A very loving thank you to the transplant team, nurses and doctors at UHN/Toronto General for the excellent ongoing care that you provided over the years; our Mom always felt cared for while she was a patient.

In honouring Colette’s wishes, private family arrangements have taken place. Memorial donations to University Health Network (UHN Foundation), Niagara Health or Greater Niagara Humane Society would be appreciated. https://donate.mytributegift.org/?cid=18bbbbb102c3581ee78be52621d88fcb69cd459da0149a5ae36be252af86179f&fh=FRP-308918&fp=3089186b5c6c0632d102cc0b9fbb841d8e
