Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the age of 95. Don was predeceased by his wife and best friend Ruth (December 22, 2022). Dear father of Ken, Glen and the late Donna Robertson (2009). Survived by his son-in-law, Lee Robertson. Grandfather of Kyle (Wendy) Dingman. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Don was the last of his siblings who predeceased him, Garfield, John (Buster), Howard, Vera, Harold, Verla and Diane. Don was retired from G.M. and enjoyed golfing, horseshoes, bowling and traveling. Many good times were had by family and friends out at the Dingman Ponderosa on Gregory Road where he and Ruth hosted many gatherings full of laughter and great times. They tended to the farm and every critter that came along by feeding or rehabilitating them. Don organized many golf tournaments and ran a bowling league for 40 years. He and Ruth also organized many social events and bus trips for the retirees at the C.A.W. Hall.
In honouring Don’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
