CALCOTT, Philip Augustine 'Phil'

Peacefully, at NHS-St. Catharines on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 94 years of age. Phil was predeceased by his beloved wife, Madeleine (nee Landreville) (1998) of 47 years. Loving Dad of Steve (Barb) and Phil Jr..  Proud Grandpa of Ryan (Megan) and Craig (Kam).  Great-Grandpa of Eliott, Drew, James & William.  He was an uncle to many nieces, nephews and their families.  Phil was predeceased by his siblings: Albert (Eleanor), Helen (Alec) Allan, Lorne (Doris), Margaret (Walter) Witoski; and Madeleine’s sisters: Gloria (Joe) Mable and Mary Lou (Tom) Travers.  Phil retired as a welder from General Motors after 30 years of service in 1991.  Phil enjoyed time with his family and friends and trips to watch “His Blue Jays” play along with visits to the casino.  He enjoyed time with his friends at his favourite venue, Pitchers/TJ Sports Bar.  He had an affinity for steam engine trains and a fascination with tracking meteorological conditions over the years.  In honouring Phil’s wishes cremation has taken place.  Visitation will begin at 10 am followed by a Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Considerate Cremation & Burial Services. Interment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial donations to Parkinson Society and Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by Phil’s family.  https://donate.mytributegift.org/?cid=82c22c7987073ccabaf3a0412f201bcf514dc9e6cddaf03dfe514613d2bb043a&fh=FRP-308918&fp=3089186b5c6c0632d102cc0b9fbb841d8e  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
