Mae passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 85 years of age. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Thayer. Loving mother of Deborah Bouck, Julie Giammarco (Mario) and Kristopher Bouck. Cherished grandmother of Kyle (Phụng), Marisa and Ridley. Dear sister of Charlie Bailey and Marie Davison. Sister-in-law of Adeline Colley, Barbara Good, Wendy MacDonell and the late Frances Macrae. Also missed by her extended family.
Mae met Thayer when they were both teaching at Port Colborne High School and then moved together to Welland Eastdale Secondary School when it first opened. Mae stopped teaching to dedicate herself to her growing family but used her love of children/youth and education throughout her life. Mae was very involved in the Fonthill Baptist Church over many years as a Sunday School teacher, Pioneer Club coordinator and teacher, and was a long-standing member of the Mission Circle.
Mae loved to swim, read and spend time with her family.
The family will gather for a private funeral service at the Pelham Funeral Home, followed by interment at Fonthill Cemetery.
