The Town of Pelham wants to remind residents that there will be several closures in town for Canada Day on July 1. All municipal offices and administrative services as well as the Meridian Community Centre will be closed, and will reopen Tuesday July 2.

The Lincoln Pelham Public Library will operate regular hours on Saturday, June 29, for the Fonthill Branch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from noon to 4 p.m. at the Maple Acre Branch. The branches will be closed Sunday, June 30 and on Canada Day, with both branches reopening for normal operating hours on Tuesday, July 2.

In terms of essential services, after-hours emergency issues related to water, sewer, or road conditions and where there is imminent danger to public or private property can be reported by calling 905-892-2607 and following the prompts.

For all other non-emergency requests, visit pelham.ca or send a Spot It Share It request.

The Pelham Public Pool at Marlene Stewart Streit Park, however, will be open on July 1 and there will be a free swim from 1-4 p.m.

Banks, post offices and most retail businesses will be closed and there will be no mail delivery.

Niagara Region will continue to operate the regular pick-up for waste collection; there are no changes to waste collection on Monday, July 1, 2024.
