WATCH: Stroll along at MCC birthday party, Wellspring appreciation event

Beautiful Saturday may have kept some away from dual celebrations on Wellspring Way

Attendance was light at high noon on Saturday at both the Meridian Community Centre’s 6th birthday party, as well as at Wellspring Niagara’s community appreciation event.

Maybe it was the spectacularly sunny day, with temps in the mid-to-high 20s, that sent folks to beaches and parks, but those who did visit the events seemed to be having a good time, and Town staff at the MCC suggested that Saturday evening’s live music would enjoy a good turnout.

Ward 1 Councillor Wayne Olson is seen at the start of the video, posted at the welcome-cupcake table near the MCC’s south entrance.

While the MCC party was held on Saturday only, Wellspring’s event continues today, with Kids Zone fun from 10 AM to 12:30 PM, the intriguingly named “Goat Yoga,” a pancake brunch from 10 AM to 2 PM, plus face-painting, lawn games, and “meeting local heroes including Pelham Firefighters” according to a Wellspring media release.
