The weather varied on the Saturday of Summerfest 2023, from overcast and partly sunny during the day, to rain showers which arrived in the evening. Nonetheless, a large crowd converged on Pelham Street by the resurrected arches throughout the day and evening, sampling tasty morsels from the food trucks, listening to music, supporting local vendors and merchants, enjoying a beverage or two, and rekindling friendships.
Typically, Summerfest sees 40,000 visitors over the weekend, according to Town staff. The event is supported by almost a hundred volunteers, drawn primarily for local service clubs.
The festival wraps up today.
