ROTARY CLUB OF FONTHILL

The Rotary Club of Fonthill held its annual Board Changeover Event at Domenic’s on 20 this Wednesday June 26.

In addition to the formal induction of a new President, and confirmation of the Board for 2024-25, a Paul Harris Fellow was presented to Community Member Mike Chechalk, who was unable to attend the annual Paul Harris evening earlier in the month due to travel. Mike was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his extensive volunteer work in Niagara, particularly in the farming community and 4-H.  Mike was instrumental in the organization of the Rotary Club of Fonthill Niagara Family Farmfest in 2023.

The Paul Harris Fellow is the highest award The Rotary Foundation bestows, and Membership in the Paul Harris Society acknowledges a yearly commitment to a donation of $1,000 USD each year. The Club now has 22 Paul Harris Fellows and two members who are members of the Paul Harris Society.
