The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) is pleased to announce the launch of its recruitment campaign for the Public Advisory Committee (PAC), a dedicated group of volunteer citizen representatives from diverse sectors across the Niagara Peninsula watershed.
Established in 2014, the PAC has played an invaluable role in providing sector-based perspectives, guiding key NPCA projects, programs, and initiatives. Meeting approximately four times per year, the PAC is poised to make an even greater impact in the years ahead, ensuring collaborative and inclusive input into conservation efforts alongside NPCA’s Board of Directors and staff.
Being part of the PAC offers unique benefits, including:
- The opportunity to share your expertise and make meaningful contributions to local conservation efforts.
- Expanding your professional network through collaboration with like-minded individuals.
- Developing leadership skills and gaining insight into watershed management and decision-making.
- Giving back to your community and helping shape a more sustainable, resilient future.
- Recognition as part of NPCA’s valued volunteer base, including an invitation to the annual Volunteer Appreciation Event.
Applications are now being accepted for the following representative seats:
- Agriculture & Farming Representative (1)
- Business & Industry Representative (1)
- Building & Development Representative (1)
Interested individuals are encouraged to learn more about the NPCA and its 2021-2031 Strategic Plan, review the Terms of Reference, and apply by Feb. 3. Visit https://getinvolved.npca.ca/public-advisory-committee today.
