Get ready to kick of the holiday season in Fenwick. Christmas carols will fill the air this Saturday (Nov. 23) when the Fabulous Fenwick Lions host their seventh annual tree lighting celebration in downtown Fenwick from 4-6 p.m. There will be free hotdogs, hot chocolate and hot apple cider to keep the November chill at bay.
Live music will also be provided by the Doppelganger acoustic duo, and Santa Claus himself will be making an appearance.
Carol singers from Fenwick United Church will be on hand and the public is being encouraged to join in. After the tree lighting, the church will be hosting an evening of holiday activities at the church, located at 1050 Church St., from 6-8 p.m., including Advent crafts, Christmas stories and more. There will also be free pizza.
