This is one of our favourite Tuesdays of the year – GivingTuesday!

GivingTuesday is a movement that celebrates generosity by giving back to the community the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It is an opportunity to reflect on the upcoming season and give what we can to causes that matter to us.

Our 2023 GivingTuesday goal is to raise $6,000. Achieving this goal will make all children's and teen programming free in 2024. With a rising cost of living, this will provide equal opportunities for families to experience engaging programs that support literacy and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math).

Why people give:

“My daughter was born during the pandemic and as a result missed out on many firsts. The library’s story time has been such an important way to establish community for her and to involve her with her peers.” – Library user

“The library provides information and services to all people on an equal basis. It is one of the few safe spaces left for the community where it isn't expected that people have to spend money to be there. It provides a place for community.” – Library user

Thanks to those who have donated already—your support is so appreciated. We are close to meeting our goal, and can do so with your support. You can give by making a donation online or in person at the library, signing up to volunteer, or following us on social media and helping to spread the word!

All donations over $20 receive a tax receipt.
