NEWS RELEASE
CYSTIC FIBROSIS CANADA

It’s a classic game remixed in a fresh new way. Lawn Summer Nights (LSN) returns to Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club in St. Catharines on Friday, Aug. 11. The one-night lawn bowling tournament will host 24 teams, fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
Lawn Summer Nights has raised over $4.4 million for Cystic Fibrosis Canada since 2009. More than 5,000 participants have taken part in host cities including Toronto, London, Halifax, Vancouver, Regina, Ottawa, Chatham, Milton, and Niagara.
“Lawn Summer Nights is a Canada-wide event that has raised millions in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada”, says LSN Niagara City Lead Patricia Vollick. “Last year, we were so fortunate to have been selected as one of only nine Canadian cities to host LSN events, and our amazing teams surpassed our goal – raising over $14,000 in one incredible night.”
Teams of four play for top honours, with prizes awarded for best score, top fundraising team and best team costumes. The event is a great way to introduce the sport to new players. “Even if you’ve never bowled before, you’re in for a fabulous night. Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club members will be on hand to provide lessons and pointers so everyone can learn the sport and expect a great experience.” Lawn games, silent auction and entertainment plus tasty local food and beverages add to the “good vibes”.
Registration costs $300 for a team of four and includes a night of lawn bowling and dinner. Silent auction, team prizes and onsite activities also available. All funds raised directly support Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Registration is now open here
LSN Niagara is a licensed, 19+ event.
