Fonthill and District Kinsmen have selected former educator and longtime community volunteer Judy Reid as their 2017 Pelham Citizen of the Year.

Kinsmen spokesman Brian Iggulden says that Reid was selected from a "record number of worthy nominees."

Iggulden says that tickets will go on sale as soon as they are printed for the Tuesday, March 6 award dinner, to be held at Old Town Hall on Canboro Road in Fenwick.  Tickets will run $20.00 per person, with no sales at the door. Tickets will be offered for sale first-come first-served at the Sun Life Insurance offices on Highway 20 in Fonthill until noon, Friday, March 2.

The Voice will carry an interview with Reid in a coming edition.
