NIAGARA INDOOR PICKLEBALL ASSOCIATION

Cardiac arrest can happen without any warning, at any age, at any time, to people of all fitness levels. That is why Niagara Indoor Pickleball Association (NIPA) member Michele Ganzevoort decided to donate the use of a Heartsaver® CPR Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to the Club and train interested members on how to properly use it.
Michele is the owner and lead instructor for Cardiac-ED, a company which specializes in Emergency and Critical Care Education. Michele is a registered nurse, with a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Athabasca University and a specialist in resuscitation education. She started Cardiac-ED in 2013.
Michele is passionate about helping others to learn how to save lives. Her career has been focused in the ER, Intensive Care Unit and providing education to healthcare professionals and the public in resuscitation. Michele is also a certified Advanced Cardiovascular and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor since 2008, and an accredited Heart and Stroke instructor. “The goal of this CPR training is to help members know what to do and how to confidently and effectively respond in a cardiac arrest emergency,” said Michele. “We want NIPA members to learn these critical life skills that really matter and could save a life.”
There are currently three free sessions scheduled over the next month for NIPA members to sign up to acquire this life saving CPR expertise. All three of the classes are quickly filling up so more classes will be added to the roster to fill training demands.
