Everyone loves a parade—especially Mayor Marvin Junkin, piloting the MCC zamboni on Canada Day 2022. The Mayor will be making another pass on Haist Street this year.

New this Canada Day, the Town of Pelham’s Grand Parade will begin at a later time, providing residents with a late afternoon event that continues until the fireworks at 10 PM. The Grand Parade in Pelham is a highlight of local area organizations, service clubs and businesses, with space still available for applications for parade entries.

At 4 PM, the parade will travel down Haist Street from A.K. Wigg School to Harold Black Park. Following the parade, community members will enjoy a welcome ceremony, free family activities, a community art project, and an entertainment stage featuring local talent. The event is supported through funding provided by the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage Celebrate Canada Program.

“We are gearing up to host an exciting July 1 event in the Town of Pelham with the Grand Parade down Haist street to the Party in the Park” said Special Events and Festivals Programmer Jodi Shishkov. “This annual hometown community event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy time with neighbours and friends, in a family friendly park setting.”
