Daughter Katie Galvin and mom Tammy Martin say they love Pelham's vibe.

A mother/daughter duo, born and raised in Fonthill, love the Pelham community, and have created a coffee shop experience with an ambience that has proven to be popular with the locals. They are celebrating their first anniversary on Highway 20 West, after having bought the shop from its original founders.

Tammy Martin now lives in Niagara on the Lake, and has delegated the Fonthill location on Highway 20 to her daughter, Katie Galvin, while she focuses on her new St. David’s coffee shop, called Junction, located at the crossroads near Ravine Winery.

“We’ve worked hard to create an atmosphere at FONT that local people appreciate,” said Katie. “We are not a drive-through operation. We want people to come in, converse, and enjoy themselves. We hire employees from the area, who can better connect with our customers.”

Fresh baked goods are a signature item for FONT, with the carrot cake, lemon loaf, and vegan energy bars in particular being popular. A full selection of coffees and teas are available, as are specialty occasion orders.

FONT is open 8 AM until 4 PM weekdays, and 9 AM to 4 PM on the weekends.
