One of the most awarded independent country music singer-songwriters in Canada stopped by the Fonthill Bandshell on Thursday, Aug. 17.
Dutton, Ontario resident Jamie Warren and band entertained the spectators with original songs, including many top-10 hit singles from his albums. Over his 40-year career, he has earned Juno awards, Canadian Country Music Association awards, and Country Music Association of Ontario awards. Starting a bit early in case the weather decided not to cooperate, Warren and bandmates kept the toes tapping and line dancers dancing for a full two-hour set.
Next up is Everyday People: The Music of Sly & the Family Stone, an all-star assembly of Canadian blues and soul singers paying tribute to the roots of funk music. The concert, which starts at 7 p.m. next Thursday, Aug. 24, is sponsored by Boggio Family Pharmacy.
