The volunteers at the Fonthill Bandshell Concerts are ready and waiting for this Thursday, June 22, when Britishmania rolls into Peace Park in Fonthill to inaugurate this summer’s music season, longtime Bandshell volunteer Gayle Baltjes-Chataway tells PelhamToday.
Volunteers have been at the Fonthill Farmers Market the last few weeks, spreading the word that the 18th season of summer music is happening from June 22 through September 7.
“The concert volunteers have been selling their Fonthill Bandshell Booster buttons for $100 each, which goes to support the entertainment series, and gets you a pass on the donation collections for the entire season,” says Baltjes-Chataway.
The red-shirted brigade of volunteers will continue to sell the Bandshell buttons for the first few Thursdays of the season.
“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again this year!”
