PelhamToday received the following letter about Ontario's plans to build a new highway.
Premier Doug Ford and the feds have plans to rush through an unnecessary Highway 413 destroying over a 1,000 acres of prime farmland along with unique natural areas on the Greenbelt where Ford lied he would never touch, yet again.
There are outstanding groups comprised of nature and farm smarts taxpayers fighting valiantly to save what we in Ontario have been blessed with.
The group Preserve the Agricultural Land Society comes to mind which one member John Bacher recently penned an inspirational letter encouraging us to fight city hall to win the likes of the Fairview Park saga. In his letter Bacher lends a great message and it is time to do just that starting fighting the unnecessary Highway 413. It is not too late to win we did it before as a solid voice for the Greenbelt and Ford choked.
Believe Bacher and fight against the politicians on this important issue.
The Environmental Defence Team, Ontario Nature and Cpaws all see the wrong in what Ford is pushing to do. These are dedicated knowledgeable groups who know the value we are about to lose if not stopped.
Not long ago the Greenbelt was saved because people banned together and fought and it is time to repeat it again. Write letters to your government members, sign petitions, educate yourself and remember Ford at the next election.
