PelhamToday received the following letter to the editor thanking community members to helping sell Girl Guide cookies:

Just a shout out to our community from the Ist North Pelham Girl Guides.

Our group of 15 Sparks (age 5-6) purchased 100 cases of spring Girl Guide cookies to sell at the Home Show in early April. That's 1,200 boxes of cookies.

When the home show was cancelled, our first reaction was "How will we ever sell all these cookies before the end of May?" We needed to submit full payment to Girl Guides Canada at that time.

Right off the bat, the Kinsmen opted to help us sell our product. They took cases to sell at work, and at their various personal outings, and we were extremely thankful to Len Doyle who went out of his way to sell so many cases for us.

Vermeer's Garden Centre allowed us to set up shop on Mother's day, and we are so happy to be able to sell as many as we did that day.

Sobeys allowed us to take a Saturday and put a table out to advertise our program and sell many cases.

Connie Morgan took it upon herself to take several cases to work and to the euchre players at the North Pelham Youth Hall.

Our local Legion Branch 613 allowed me to bring cases of cookies to sell on several Friday night fish and chips.

We appreciate all these organizations and individuals who helped us to sell out of our spring Girl Guide Cookies.

To our community...... thank you so very much.
