The U9 LL Pelham Panthers started off the 2023-2024 hockey season with one goal in mind—growth. With head coach Brian Bader leading the team, this group of Pelham kids came each week with their full effort to learn more about the game, practice hard, and improve their skill set. With the season coming to a close this past Saturday, the team battled worthy adversaries U9 Niagara-on-the-Lake in the championship game, held at the Vale Health and Wellness Centre in Port Colborne.
Both teams gave it their all to battle for the first-place win, but Pelham came out on top with a 5-3 victory. It was a great full-team effort, with Rory Bader, Paolo Musso, Cam Stasiuk and Cole Petlichkov putting goals on the board, and Ellis Speight guarding the net strongly. The crowd went wild as the team celebrated their well-deserved first place win. This group of young kids grew into a well-playing team and created a memory to last a lifetime.
