Every week, PelhamToday features adoptable pets via the Humane Society of Greater Niagara. For any inquiries about these adoptable friends, reach out to HSGN directly.
This week we would like to feature King Harald Finefur!
King Harald FineFur is a 4 month old, 2.5 pound, bouncing baby boy! He’s an active, goofy guy and loves to binky, jump and conquer new lands like the Viking king he is! He’s shy at first with new folks but warms up to those who come baring gifts (aka snacks). Harald is healthy and ready to find his forever home! He's a great candidate to bond to a shy or timid spayed female bunny. Or he can go home solo to a doting family that will spend lots of time with him.
Baby bunnies are a lot of work and need to be trained, just like puppies! Bunnies need to be taught what to chew and what not to chew (baseboards, couches, shoes, etc) and they need to be taught to use a litter-box. Baby bunnies have a lot of energy and can be messy, destructive and a bit bonkers for the first year of life. Training takes time, patience and commitment. They are incredibly funny, adventurous and will never insult your cooking (cuz they are hungry hungry hippos!). After they celebrate their first birthday, most buns will chill out. So if you’re prepared for the hilarity and responsibility of raising a baby bunny, apply to adopt!
Harald needs a minimum of an extra-large dog xpen with 3 foot tall walls. He can free-range in a bunny-proof home once he’s matured and learned the house rules.
Adoption fee is $40 and includes neuter, RHDV vaccination and vet exam.
