Every week, PelhamToday features adoptable pets via the Humane Society of Greater Niagara. For any inquiries about these adoptable friends, reach out to HSGN directly.

This week we would like to feature Tony Hopkins!

Tony Hopkins is a perfectly precious holland lop. He’s 4 pounds and around 4 years old. He’s chill as a cucumber, loves a good nap and a long cuddle. He was found stray outside and arrived at the shelter in a sorry state. He had painful eyes and infections in his ears. He was diagnosed with glaucoma in both eyes and also had a small wound on his right eye. He responded quickly to medication and was feeling like a new bunny in just a few days! He has decreased vision and decreased hearing due to his previously untreated eye and ear issues - but you’d never know it - he acts like a normal happy bunny! Tony will need eye drops for the rest of his life. Like most lops, he needs his ears cleaned once to twice monthly to help prevent ear infections.

(Do not feed Tony Hopkins f-f-f-fava beans, no matter how tempting. Beans cause digestive problems in rabbits.)

Tony is a medium sized bunny so minimum cage size is a large dog exercise pen. He’d love to free-range in a bunny-safe home once he’s learned the house rules.

Adoption fee is $40 and includes neuter, Rhdv vaccination and vet exam.
